The City Smasher has officially shot his first Highpower match, as of May 16, 1999. The match was an 800-point NRA match, and I was very happy with my performance. I really only lost-it in the 200 sitting rapids. I have been averaging over 190 in practice and completely lost it in the match. I think I shot a 175-0x. Much to my surprise, I was really in a groove offhand and shot a 185-2x.
I had set a goal to qualify Master. I now realize now that was a bit unrealistic. I am very happy with Expert. You know what? This Highpower game is hard. Not impossible, but definitely hard. But you know what else?
This type of shooting would be good for anyone who likes to pull a trigger. This sport could also use a healthy dose of juniors. Teens can really take to the AR-15. After all, it’s just a fat .22.
I have really been neglecting my web, but the weather is nice and I really need to keep away from computers, I get enough of that at work. I will promise you these articles very soon.
